Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Dayton with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Ohio may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 amβ6 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Dayton Fish Co.Inc at (937) 276-3474; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 1,214 reviews, which is a strong result for a seafood market in Dayton and suggests consistent service.
Dayton is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dayton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We go up to Dayton at least once a month since there is no place like it here in Cincinnati. It has a little bit of everything but she has to offer. You can buy it fresh, Frozen, or they can cook you fish as takeout. The cooked food is great. They have a large assortment of spices and cooking essentials for seafood.

It was awful!!!! The fish was poorly cooked. It just fell apart. It was almost like eating fish hash it was so crumbly. I don't think my fish was done. I will say the breading had a great taste.

Called at 5:02pm and was immediately placed on hold for about 25-30 minutes, then the phone just magically hung up. Called back and was told that the fryers goes down at 5:30pm. Very disappointed with customer service, I also understand that places can get busy at times and if that was the case if I was told that over the phone I could have ordered at the establishment. Customer service has to be on point as the food! Thank you for your understanding.

Went with my mother because there was a lot of hype around this place, and when we came there was tons of people, but when we got our food it wasn't it. had gotten catfish, wings, hush puppies, and fries. Catfish wa actually pretty good, wings were decent, and the hush puppies didn't taste like anything, on top of that the fries were soggy, but at least they loaded them up. I'm also no a fan of the way they played everything.. honestly wouldn't go again, and service wasn't that well, but maybe it's just not for me.

If you're anywhere near this place on Main Street, and your still buying fast food...let me stop you there. This (fresh) Deep Sea Ice Cod sando costs 6.99, plus 50 cents for an extra scratch-made Tatar sauce. You can thank me later. π
